We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Flight Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a contractor in San Juan Puerto Rico.

Job Description: As a Flight Respiratory Therapist at Acute Air Ambulance you will play a vital role in providing advanced respiratory care to patients during air medical transports. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients during air transport including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  • Assess and monitor patients respiratory status and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in respiratory care.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in Puerto Rico.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in respiratory care with at least 1 year in a critical care or emergency setting.
  • Experience in air medical transport is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current Passport
  • Drug Screen and Background check required
  • Current BLS ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Available within a 45-minute drive from San Juan International Airport
