responsibilities:
- Scale up and maintain primary, immortalized, and iPSC-derived cell models using both manual and automated methods.
- Adapt existing manual cell culture assays to advanced automated robotic hardware and workflows.
- Collaborate on method development to differentiate iPSCs into complex models of neurological disease.
- Derive, characterize, and maintain CRISPR KO pools and clonal cell lines.
- Manage and track the cell line inventory system, distributing fresh and cryopreserved resources to collaborators.
qualifications:
Required: - BS/MS in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing cellular models for drug discovery.
- Proven expertise in primary, iPSC, complex cell models, and immortalized cell cultures.
- Strong background in cell biology techniques and assay development.
Preferred: - Experience with automated cell culture robotics (e.g., Sartorius CompacT SelecT).
- Experience with neural or microglial models.
- Industrial experience in early-stage drug discovery.
