Starting at $17/hr (Cargiver) or $16/hr (Companion) with an excellent work environment (including 24/7 support) and full-time or part-time available for caregiving positions in North East Columbus Suburbs, New Albany, Gahanna, Westerville, Worthington and the surrounding areas! Please note I cannot offer full time at this time.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior In-Home Care professional to provide high-quality support to elderly clients in their homes. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need to maintain their independence. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a strong commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment. Preference for adults 40 and older.

Duties

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. (Companions do not do personal care, only caregivers)

• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or moving them as needed.

• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences.

• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

• Support individuals by providing tailored care strategies.

• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, retirement home settings or as a full time family caregiver is required

• Knowledge of meal preparation and dietary restrictions for seniors.

• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.

• Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques.

• Understanding of the unique needs of seniors.

• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their dignity and independence.

• + Occasional evening and weekend

• Preference to those who are comfortable with a cat(s) or dog(s)

• Willingness to transport client in personal car or clients with appropriate insurance.

• Driver's License Required (may not be a permit) with three years experience driving.

Job Type: Part-time

Shift availability:

• 3-6pm 2x a week

• Other hours available based on your availability

• Commitment for availability to work one weekend day a month
